FAQ/POLICIES

DISCLAIMER: 

All blasters, parts, and products are mod at your own risk and should only be completed by an adult or with adult supervision. Always wear eye protection. Never aim blasters at eyes or face. By purchasing, you agree that Out of Darts is not responsible for injury or damage caused by misuse or accidental usage. Out of Darts is not affiliated with Hasbro or Nerf in any way. Out of Darts is based in Washington State of the United States; international shipping may incur additional complications based on the customer's location.

PRIVACY POLICY:

We do not sell, share or store any customer information beyond what is needed for shipping and order communication. We will not e-mail you unless you have opted into our in-stock notifications or our once-monthly newsletter.

GIFT + CONCEALED PACKAGING:

All of our packaging is currently branded with obvious "Out of Darts" logos. If you'd like your packaging concealed for a gift order, please e-mail or message us when placing your order!

HOURS + CONTACT:

Please e-mail us with any questions, as we are always happy to help with your builds! We answer e-mails twice daily Mondays-Fridays.

SHIPPING POLICY:

We ship five days a week, Monday-Friday, with most orders going out the same day, or the next day. Orders placed after our mail pickup on Friday will generally ship out on Monday or Tuesday. Please note that some products may require extra time to 3D print or assemble before they are shipped; we will note any relevant lead times with an estimate in the product description. Out of Darts is not responsible for shipping costs due to incorrect or incomplete addresses, so please double-check your address when you order!

PRE-ORDERS: 

Pre-ordered items will be shipped as soon as we receive them and in the order they are received. We will hold your order until all items are available to ship together.

SHIPPING DELAYS:

Most packages shipped within the USA are delivered within 2-7 days when shipped via USPS (US Post Office). However, tracking scan updates and delivery times have been slowed substantially, and pickup scans have been reduced as well.  We take full responsibility getting your package to you regardless of carrier loss or mishandling.

We are 100% at their mercy for packages arriving on time. Because of this, we do not guarantee package delivery times and can't offer refunds on shipping due to a missed delivery expectation.  We do not offer next-day service, as there's no guarantee it will arrive to you on time due to our location and the nature of 3D printing.

All 3D-printed items will need to be printed prior to shipping your order. Depending on your color selection and product, this may delay your shipment. Pay attention to the posted lead times highlighted in amber on each listing.

*Please note, that LiPo packages will travel via ground-only transit and to USA destinations only, regardless of the shipping method chosen. Orders containing LiPo Batteries will take longer to arrive due to the way that carriers must handle these types of batteries (they cannot go on planes).  We currently offer two ground-only shipping methods, UPS Ground, and USPS Parcel Select Ground.   UPS Ground typically takes 5-10 business days to arrive, and USPS Parcel Select Ground generally take 2-4 weeks to arrive.

All of the batteries sold on the shop are sent at 30% shipping charge for safety reasons and should be fully and properly charged before any use. Using a new LiPo without fully charging it will immediately void any warranty and destroy the battery.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING + DUTIES/IMPORT:

We ship to nearly every country worldwide. Customers are 100% responsible for all Duty/VAT/Customs fees/brokerage or any other import fees, so please check your own country's policies for the expected costs involved. Due to the high cost and poor reliability, we do not offer express services for international orders.

International delivery times are generally between 2-5 weeks. Please expect longer shipping times during the coronavirus outbreak worldwide. We do not offer shipping and delivery time-frame guarantees, but we take 100% responsibility for your package arriving safely.

COMMISSIONS + CUSTOM WORK:

We are currently not accepting custom mod commissions for individual customers. While we love working on custom builds, there simply isn't bandwidth available to handle these requests. If you're a film, TV, or YouTube producer, we'd love to hear from you.

SPONSORSHIP:

Luke is passionate about this hobby and our community. In 2019 and 2022, 2023, and 2024 we were a primary/top-tier sponsor for EndWar, Maryland Mayhem, RagnarOktoberfest, the Dart Warz annual tournament, and multiple individual teams. We will always consider new sponsorships, but we do have a limit as we intend to continue sponsoring teams and events from previous years.

RETURN POLICY:

We accept any item back within 30 days of receipt. Items must be either unused or in like-new, sellable condition. Customers are expected to cover shipping costs unless a mistake has been made on our end. Damaged parts may only be returned for store credit. Blasters that have been opened or modified are not refundable. If the items you are returning are damaged, unusable, or not in like new condition, there will be a 15% restocking fee, and the rest of the refund will be granted in the form of a gift card/ in-store credit. Labor for all pre-assembled blasters is non-refundable, and all custom 3D-printed blasters can only be returned for in-store credit. If you cancel your order before the custom blaster has started printing, we can give you a full refund for your order. Otherwise, we can offer in-store credit. Please e-mail us if you have questions; we always want to ensure you're happy with your purchases!

PACKAGING:

All of the packaging we use is made from recycled paper. We reuse as much as possible. As such, you may receive used boxes or packaging material in your order.

WHERE TO PLAY AND MEET LUKE:

You can play with Luke at his home group in Washington state, the Pacific Northwest Nerf Club (PANNC)

Luke and Out of Darts also sponsors EndWar (rotating USA location) and Ragnarocktoberfest (California Bay Area) each year. 

WAREHOUSE + LOCAL PICKUP:

We offer local pickup at OOD HQ in Vancouver, WA, USA, Monday-Friday 9 AM-4 PM. Due to the COVID pandemic, we aren't able to offer warehouse tours at this time. Select local pickup at checkout if you intend to pick up at our warehouse.

CUSTOM COLORS:

You can view our current color options here. We primarily print with Proto-Pasta filament, made right here in Vancouver, WA, USA! We are happy to take on custom color orders for printing. The filament must be a brand that's compatible with our print settings. These include  Proto-Pasta Prusament, Atomic, Hatchbox, and Fillamentum. We may consider brands outside these, but we can't guarantee print results.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not United States, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right.
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
